Why Drupal Was Chosen
Due to the content administration requirements, Drupal was a good fit for the user experience on the editing and workflow side. Much of the content administration functionality was available out of box. Custom views were created to assist in finding/moderating relevant content, and the Revisioning module provided for an editorial workflow that preserved revisions. Panelizer was also used to offer editorial control over the layout of individual pages. With content out of the way, there was presentation to deal with. The modern and innovative design concept required multiple “pages” to be displayed at once, and for all navigation within the site to load completely dynamically (without a page refresh). There were also requirements for page transition special effects to happen at the right times both within page and across. By choosing Drupal as a platform, Mediacurrent was able to leverage a powerful event system and a rich API to create the page structure that was needed.
Describe the Project (Goals, Requirements, and Outcome)

PGi wanted to create a unique and technologically advanced experience in parity with their own one of a kind products. It was important that the site demonstrate novelty, efficiency and a solid design to better align customers with their offerings.

Equally as important, PGi needed the ability to make quick updates, add new content and track user behavior. The site would need a powerful CMS and a synergistic presentation layer to meet editorial velocity and marketing needs.
